Topic Mentions

What is the Topic Mentions Report?
In line with our release calendar for October 2023, we're introducing two new mention reports: "app mentions" and "product mentions". Detailed insights on these can be found in their respective release notes. To harmonize design and output consistency across all mentions, our standard "mentions report" is now termed βtopic mentions,β with added features.
Why the Revamp?
Several key shifts mark the evolution of the "topic mentions report":
Design & Naming Uniformity: With the inclusion of "app" and "product" mentions, we needed a consistent format. Consequently, the original "mentions report" was renamed "topic mentions" to circumvent any confusion.
Modular Functionality: In the Omni box dropdown, the distinction among various mention reports is removed. Now, the type of mention report generated depends on the user's input. For instance:
A keyword yields the "topic mentions report."
An Amazon product URL generates the "product mentions report."
A Play Store app URL results in the "app mentions report."
As highlighted in the "product mentions" release notes, what was previously termed the "feedback report" has been revamped. Notably, prefixes like "topic", "product", and "app" are for internal designation. External users will recognize all these as the "mentions report."
Enhancements Unveiled:
The "topic mentions report" boasts several new features:
Insightful Takeaways: The report now segments feedback into pros and cons. Additionally, a summarizing page distills the report into three key points.
Category Introduction: A new "categories" section features a horizontal stacked bar chart, depicting journalists, creators, converters, and amplifiers. Each bar's sentiment-driven stack offers positive and negative insights per category.
Platform Filter: Instead of a separate bar chart for platforms, users can now filter by platform through a dropdown menu.
Preserved Features: The "dimensions cluster" and the presentation of all mentions remain unchanged.
Exploring Similar Topics: A section at the report's end lists similar topics under four categories. Each category showcases three related topics with an "analyze" button, allowing users to delve into similar reports in a new tab, facilitating side-by-side comparisons.
