consumr.ai's Behavior module, one of our strongest selling pointer is heavily dependent on Cohorts that we have created and is an asset of ProfitWheel. There are millions of interests in platforms like Meta, Snap and Tiktok, and many of them are as per the market. Many are regional as well and are not applicable to the other regions and countries. consumr.ai works across markets and platforms to connect and mapping millions of interests with each other will be a nightmare.
Hence, we have come up with a 250+ cohorts that are categories in which almost all addressable and significant interest segments fit in. This is what we call as cohort. It is a means to normalize the variations between platforms and markets and make it relatable by consumr.ai and its users.
Ideally an interest based behavior is analyzed by a platform on a 28 days rolling window and is updated daily. This separates a user's habit from an act. consumr.ai sync up with all the platforms every 7 days, to capture data only when the differences accumulate and become significant. This data that is captured every 7 days is stored in our database by each cohort and as a practice we have been storing this data for some months now.
This means that we can now utilize this data to build cohort based trends and analysis like
Top cohorts for a period
Top gainers between a period: Cohorts that have gained in size
Top loser with in a period: Cohort that have lost in size.
Custom segment: Where a user can create his own theme and assign interests to it. We then start storing the data and convert it to trends.
Each of these cohorts (the ones that have been active in our database for some months now), can also be explored for trends over a period of time.
Like in the screenshot below we tried to get the trends for the interest "Home Safety" and this is what we get.
Trends are powerful as they show us the direction. Especially when we are analyzing the same cohorts that we use for our insights and pre-flight. Discover cohorts completes the story for a user and can be used in many ways.
