Product Mentions
Updated: Sep 19th 2023
Introduction
The Product Mentions Report aims to delve deep into consumer sentiments post-purchase. Accepting Amazon URLs, this report extracts customer reviews, their ratings, and underlying sentiments. While this might sound reminiscent of our erstwhile "feedback report," we've reimagined and expanded upon it. We shelved the earlier version, sensing a plethora of untapped potentials. Now, entering an Amazon product link into the Omnibox will trigger this enhanced mentions report.
The Rationale
At Consumr.ai, our ambition has always been to develop a platform that can interpret diverse inputs, extracting data from myriad sources. Using this data, we generate reports, each highlighting a specific touchpoint in a consumer's journey. To illustrate, a consumer's journey commences with a product or service perception. Encountering information that either aligns or conflicts with their understanding leads them to Google - marking the rise of intent. Repeated exploration over time forms a behavior. Post this meticulous exploration phase, a consumer either procures the product or shares insights about it. These insights predominantly appear on three platforms: social media, e-commerce sites, and app stores. Given the vast influence of retail, Product Mentions Report, capturing sentiments on e-commerce platforms, is crucial to our story's narrative.
Utiltizing the Report
Much like the Topic Mentions Report, the Product Mentions Report is straightforward. Select a product on Amazon, paste its URL into the Omnibox, and voila – a comprehensive report in minutes. The report elucidates the overall advantages and drawbacks of the product, distilled from Amazon reviews. It segments these reviews into five defining features or factors, further analyzing sentiments for each segment. Selecting a category will reveal its positive and negative nuances. Adjusting filters from mentions cluster and category charts refines the review display.
Brands can harness this report for both holistic and nuanced consumer feedback. Recurring negative feedback signals the need for immediate intervention. Post-modification, the report can gauge whether the prior feedback diminishes. Importantly, juxtaposing this with behavior and intent reports, and then comparing it to the Topic Mentions Report, can craft a compelling narrative, detailing consumer curiosity, thought processes, behavioral patterns, and online reactions.
