Answer Engine Influence (AEi)
A new insight asset
What is new?
About 2 decades ago, Search Engine Optimization came to the forefront of marketing, where brands realized the importance of trending on the front page of search results across different search engines. With the advent of conversational platforms like ChatGPT and Claude and then getting access to the internet, brands are now realizing the potential of showing up in the answers related to the category or industry the brand is a part of. It is a practice of optimizing content to provide direct and comprehensive answers to users’ queries across various AI-powered answer engines.
The AEO is a new form of focus group that users would be able to execute that will analyze the how far ahead or behind a brand is in featuring in the answers these answer engines provide. Hence, it will also be able to highlight the opportunities that the brands can work on and bridge the gap.
Why do we need it?
Our AI Twin feature is a powerhouse of providing informed feedback. We have built products around providing creative feedback and brand or product feedback using focus groups. With this unique and intelligent perspectives in store, it only makes sense to cover the most demanding area that is coming up. More brands are coming up with this problem statement, and this feature will be our first attempt to solve it with our unique approach.
How does this work?
1. We ask the user to pick a minimum of 3 twins and a maximum of 6. These twins should belong to different stages that reflect awareness, about to purchase & post-purchase.
2. The system picks the underlying intent reports of the twins to inform us of the top questions that people are asking. This is the deterministic approach of identifying top questions rather than picking random ones generated by synthetic means. To further add to the flavor and nuance, we ask each of the twins selected three questions that they would research (based on the stage they are in).
3. Once we have a question bank, our next step is to ascertain the number of searches that are happening. We are able to figure out relevant search volumes of these queries, and we now take the top 3 questions in each stage as our basis of investigation. This is the FIRST KEY upside of our report.
4. Each question is now passed to different answer engines, and responses are fetched.
5. Based on the question and stage, we ask an AI twin how the answer influences them and ask them for pre- and post-brand rankings. This is the SECOND KEY upside of our report.
6. The above are then visualized into an interactive dashboard.
Where will this be added?
The user can go to Calendar à New Events à Meeting à Select Meeting Type, “Answer Engine Influence.”
When will this be available?
We are aiming for this feature to go live on Sept 9th, 2025, as a beta.
